I like the labels to see where all the planes around me are going- if you like these labels then that may be something to consider.Īnd a neutral point that might get a little too detailed: WT3 traffic doesn't have labels while TG does. You can adjust the radius around each airport to generate traffic for, and it does generate traffic en route, but it's still a bit of an annoying thing to have to do. With WT3, you need to input your origin and destination airport (or just your origin if you're not flying anywhere) and generate the traffic, which takes a couple seconds. Getting WT3 started the first time can be a little tedious as the process of actually activating traffic isn't spelled out well IMO.Ī huge plus is that AI traffic just automatically appears when you load the sim. I forget if it uses an installer or if it's drag/drop, but either way it's basically 1 step to get it working. Much easier 1st time installation and overall ease of use. There are some areas where TG is better though: Something about the overall geometry just looks worse to me. This is just my subjective opinion though. TG's planes don't look bad per se, but they don't look as good IMO. In general, I think the planes WT3 uses look better with some notable exceptions (like the A350, A320neo, Dash 8, etc). when they take off they look like they're being sucked upwards. For some reason TG planes don't look natural when they're flying- i.e. With TG, there are many 3rd party liveries available to fill in the missing ones, but you generally have to download them one by one or in discrete packs from a certain author- also JustFlight has included many of these 3rd party paints in updates to their base pack but not others, so you may download quite a few and realize they're already included. It seems more globally extensive than the TG offering covering more small/obscure airlines in places like Africa, Asia, and South America. It's a single drag/drop install and you get hundreds of accurate traffic plans and aircraft for around the world. WT3 has an extremely extensive 3rd party routes/planes/liveries pack called AFRE. I was using TG for months, but finally switched back to WT3. However, after having used both extensively I disagree. This ended up being long and detailed but basically: the overall consensus of the community right now seems to be Traffic Global. Since writing this I went back to giving Traffic Global a 3rd or 4th try, using it exclusively for a few weeks. Basically the only good programs out there are World Traffic 3 and Traffic Global. I wrote this a while back in response to a similar question. ![]() ![]() Rod and Rowena take a break from gardening to have a tipple Halloween in August: There Will Be No Weeding During Drinking Hours Rib-tickling fun with some gardening help from the skeleton crew and Halloween in July!
